Management

Guillaume Matton

President

Guillaume is a passionate and strategic professional with nearly 20 years of experience in the mining industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in geology and a doctorate in mineral resources. He also has completed various certifications and professional development programs.

Prior to founding Mineralis, Guillaume was Vice President of Technical Services at a multinational company specialized in critical and industrial minerals. He previously held a variety of managerial and expert positions within the different spheres of the mining sector, namely in mine production, geology, continuous improvement, sustainable development and geometallurgy. He was, until 2020, Associate Professor at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. 

Guillaume specializes in strategic and operational leadership aspects, Lean problem solving, risk assessment, process improvement and mine-to-market value chain optimization. His track record shows significant gains in terms of production yield, final product quality management and environmental management. He is known for his keen ability to look at things from a different perspective and to address challenging situations creatively.

Christian Beaulieu

Vice President

Christian Beaulieu is a dedicated and agile professional with more than 15 years of experience in the mining industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in geology and a master’s degree in mineral resources, and more than 10 years of experience in the estimation and management of mineral resources.

Prior to founding Mineralis, Christian was Chief Geologist – Geology & Resources at a mining consulting firm. Earlier in his career, Christian worked as a production and mine resource geologist, and he occupied various consulting roles at service companies.

Christian’s work consists in providing specialized technical services, such as mineral resource estimation and optimization, 3D modelling, geological support, project reviews, and due diligence audits. Thanks to his technical expertise and superior analytical skills, he has been actively involved in the evaluation of numerous mining projects, helping companies to mitigate risks and seize opportunities for growth.  Having devoted most of his career to consulting, Christian is passionate about helping people achieve success, and he is known for his flexible mindset and his clear understanding of client needs.
